Richard P. Chalupa serves as the Principal Landscape Architect at Saluda Hill Landscapes and is a licensed professional in South Carolina (LSA 1789) with more than a decade of experience in the land development industry. As a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Richard brings a well-rounded blend of creative vision and technical expertise to every project.

His background includes several years previously managing Saluda Hill’s design/build division, along with leading large-scale residential and commercial landscape, hardscape, lighting, and irrigation designs across the Southeast. Richard is experienced in project management, code compliance, construction documentation, 3D modeling, and presentation graphics, and is highly proficient in AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Now back with Saluda Hill, Richard leads the design department with a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of both form and function. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing and time spent outdoors.
