Richard P. Chalupa serves as the Principal Landscape Architect at Saluda Hill Landscapes and is a licensed RLA (FL No. LA6667463) with more than a decade of experience in residential and commercial design. A graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Richard brings a well-rounded blend of creative vision and technical precision to every project.

His background includes several years previously managing Saluda Hill’s design/build division, along with leading large-scale landscape, hardscape, lighting, and irrigation designs across the Southeast. Richard is experienced in project management, code compliance, construction documentation, and client coordination, and is highly proficient in AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Now back with Saluda Hill, Richard leads the design department with a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of both form and function. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing and time spent outdoors.
